HERITAGE: JOURNAL OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY STUDIES IN ARCHAEOLOGY

The eighth volume of Heritage: Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies in Archaeology (2020) is presented in two issues. During the Covid-19 pandemic induced difficulties, like all other walks of life, the discipline of archaeology too passed through challenging times. Perhaps, archaeology was severely deprived of field-oriented research activities during this time because of the lockdown and travel restrictions across the world. However, the substantial count of paper submissions during this time indicates that the academicians found it a chance to explore more into the unseen prospects of their research.

HERITAGE: JOURNAL OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY STUDIES IN ARCHAEOLOGY

It gives us great pleasure to bring out the third issue of Heritage: Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies in Archaeology. The last two issues of the journal have received accolades from many archaeologists and institutions. This in fact burdens us with more responsibility to maintain a good standard in the journal.Over the last year we have received close to 70 articles for this journal and needless to say this is due to the standard set by the journal and the popularity it has gained by word of mouth in the archeological circles. In this current issue, we have received articles from budding as well as established scholars in the field of archaeology and the articles and issues discussed range in time from Prehistoric to Medieval

It gives us great pleasure in bringing out Volume ‐ 2 of Heritage: Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies in Archaeology. As envisaged while initiating the first volume, we have been fairly successful in getting the articles peer reviewed. We appreciate the authors in their endeavour of incorporating the corrections and suggestions recommended by the reviewers. The present volume contains 55 articles and deals with a wide range of topics. Many of the topics dealt have a multidisciplinary approach. Editing 55 articles was definitely an audacious task, but we are happy that our efforts have yielded good results. We are thankful to all the reviewers and contributors who have strived and joined hands with us to make this endeavour a success.
